It does not extract or edit text inside images. If you need searchable, reflowable text, an OCR workflow is the better fit.

Open the EPUB in Apple Books on macOS or iOS. The cover and title appear in your library.

Kobo and other EPUB readers

Most EPUB readers accept image-based books. Import the file and start reading from the cover.

Kindle import guidance
